Confidentiality

Steen Hypnosis adheres to professional ethical standards, and never shares client information with third or outside parties. What clients choose to share stays between Anna Steen and the client. Any personal information clients share, whether during sessions, in written communication, or through the booking process, is kept strictly confidential.

Information revealed in sessions will not be disclosed without extraordinary justification. The conditions that justify the release of information and by law must be reported to the appropriate agencies are the following:

1.  Reasonable suspicion of child abuse or neglect.

2. Reasonable suspicion of senior citizen abuse or neglect.

3. Client poses a series risk of suicide or is an imminent danger to self.

4. Client poses a threat of imminent danger to another person.

5. A judge, by issuance of a court order, may obtain information.

6. Knowledge of a felony that has been, or is being, committed must be reported to law enforcement authorities. 

 

In other situations, signed authorization by client is required for release of information.

Data collected through the Steen Hypnosis website is secure. Our website or your own web browser may use basic cookies or analytics to improve user experience. Any notes taken during client sessions will be stored securely in a locked filing cabinet, in a locked office. Only Anna Steen at Steen Hypnosis will access your information.
